Meet My New Baby

I think we'll definitely have some sweet times together. Any name suggestions? I'm thinking Baby. And it even has pastel colored thread holders! It's just too good to be true.

Can't wait...

...for Spike Jonze's cinema adaptation of Maurice Sendak's children's book "Where The Wild Things Are". One of my favorite authors, Dave Eggers, is the co-writer. I bet it'll be all magical and dreamlike and wonderful. Next winter it is. And I'll be first in line.

Sunday Evening Again

I don't know if it's such a good thing to drink cuba libres on a Sunday, but honestly I don't care. It tastes good. And my boyfriend gave me an Oreo dream cake for Valentine's Day (which we really don't celebrate, but cake is always welcome in my house), so everything is pretty sweet right now. I got back from New York on Monday. The trip was wonderful. Hanging out with amazing friends and seeing the city in winter was great. Magnolia Bakery was visited, in addition to glorious El Beit café in W. Burg, the Nylon offices and Ruff Club. All in all, a super mini-vacation!

The Prettiest Bird

This might be the prettiest bird I've ever seen. My boyfriend found it for me. It looks like it's eatable. Imagine how nice this would taste. I would just nibble a little on the beak. It'd taste like snowflakes and cream puffs.

Grayscale

I miss summer. Everything is in gray right now. At least when it comes to the colors outdoors. New York in a few days. Yay! Can't wait. Right now I'm watching Walk the Line while listening to Beach House. My boyfriend has got me addicted to it. PS: I would recommend reading Margaret Atwood's The Tent to everyone. She has a magic way with words. Have a peaceful sunday. I long for sleep right now. Snore.
